Radhe Shyam is a 2022 Indian era romantic drama film written and directed by Radha Krishna Kumar, starring Prabhas and Pooja Hegde. It was shot simultaneously in Telugu and Hindi. The film is produced by UV Creations and T-Series. Set in 1970s Europe, the film tells the story of Vikramaditya, a palmist who struggled between his love of destiny and his inspiration.
Photo score composed by S. Stop. The film has two different soundtracks for Hindi and Telugu versions. Mithun and Manon Bharadwaj have composed Hindi songs and Justin Prabhakaran has composed Telugu songs. Cinematography is directed by Manoj Paramahansa and edited by Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao. The main photography of the film started in October 2018 and ended in July 2021, with filming in Hyderabad, Italy and Georgia.
Originally scheduled for release on July 30, 2021, it was delayed due to the COVID-19 epidemic. Radhe Shyam was released in theaters on March 11, 2022, and received mixed reviews from critics for its performances and visuals, as well as for its screenplay and narrative. [6] [7]
Radhe Shyam Movie Plot
In Italy in 1978, Vikramaditya was a world-renowned palmist. Called the "Einstein of the palm of the hand", he was a disciple of the saint Paramahamsa. Vikramaditya, who does not believe in relationships, immediately falls for the doctor's inspiration. They meet on a train but then separate. One day Vikramaditya read the applause of businessman Anand Rajput. Because Vikramaditya did not predict the future for him, the Rajputs chased him which led to his accident. He was admitted to Prerna Hospital where he was treated. After recovering, Vikramaditya offered Perrana to stay with him in fertility. Perrana leaves the city but Vikramaditya follows him all the way. He admits and they start dating each other. Prerna's uncle, however, told her not to make any impression on Vikramaditya.
While Vikramaditya and Prerna are traveling by train, a stranger asks him to read the palm of his daughter, the hand of an aspiring archer. He predicts that he has no future in sports, and should focus on education instead. Surprised by Vikramaditya's skill, all the coaches want to know the prediction by showing the palm of their hand but Vikramaditya hesitantly goes down with motivation. However, he realizes that everyone on the train dies instantly. He chases after the train but in vain. Later that evening, the train had an accident, resulting in several casualties. Prerna, who started believing in handicrafts, asked Vikramaditya to read the palm of his hand. He predicts that he will have a long life with a bright future but he faints with nose bleeds. Motivation was admitted to the hospital where her uncle, who is also a doctor, revealed that she was suffering from an incurable tumor and could die within a few months. Vikramaditya did not agree as he had otherwise predicted but he was discharged from the hospital.
Motivation is now optimistic about his life. On the other hand, his uncle believes that Vikramaditya is a cheater and only medicine can change his destiny. He examines Vikramaditya with the palm of the dead man's hand and Vikramaditya guesses all of them correctly. His uncle changed his mind and believed in Vikramaditya's prophecy. As expected, a cure for the disorder has been found. Happily, Motivation offers Vikramaditya. However, he rejects her, saying that he cannot love her because he does not have a "love-line" and will leave the country soon. Desperate motivation tries to commit suicide in the show but comes in Vikramaditya's diary. He learns that Vikramaditya was ready to sacrifice his life to save him. Before leaving, Vikramaditya takes Prerna to a ballroom dance as per his wish and the couple spends the night intimately. Motivation leaves a note in the diary that she would choose to give up her life if such a situation arose. He voluntarily suffered a car accident and was hospitalized.
Vikramaditya, who is in London for his mother's dance performance, reads the inspiration note in his diary. He called the hospital and was shocked to find out the motive. He called on Prerna to stay alive, promising to meet him soon. When Vikramaditya is hesitant about his prediction, he sees the girl on the train who has lost her hand in the accident. He tells Vikramaditya that he does not have the palm of his hand now so he can write his destiny. Vikramaditya who is now in a hurry to meet the Motivation Board on a cargo ship in Italy which led to his meeting at the hospital. However, the ship was caught in a storm at sea and everyone abandoned the ship at the captain's command. Vikramaditya, however, was trapped alone in the ship. Overwhelmed by the power of nature, Vikramaditya struggled for survival. He recalls his guru Paramahamsa's claim that palmistry is only 99% accurate, and that there are 1% of people who can write their own destiny. Determined to stay alive, he uses all his strength to reach a high place and fire a flare gun. The captain returned with the lifeboat. The ship sank but the sunken Vikramaditya was able to float away. Later, Vikramaditya came to the hospital and reunited with the rescued motivator.

Radhe Shyam Movie Production
Development
Radhe Shyam was originally conceived by director Chandra Shekhar Yaleti. He worked with his assistant Radha Krishna Kumar to create the story but the idea was dropped as they failed to conclude it. Kumar borrowed the story from Yaleti and worked on it for 18 years to give the story a satisfying ending. He narrated the screenplay to actor Prabhas while shooting for the Bahubali series (2015-17). Prabhas liked the script and signed up for the project.
Kumar first wanted to set the story in the background of a hill station in India. However, at Prabhas' suggestion, the story moved to Europe. Radha Krishna Kumar reveals that the character of the protagonist Vikramaditya is inspired by real life European palmist Chero. Several titles, including Jan and O Deer, were considered for the film, but the producers finalized Radhe Shyam as the title of the film.
The film was officially launched in Hyderabad on 5th September 2018 under the name Prabhas20. Pooja Hegde starred opposite Prabhas. [18] Hegde called the film a "new and mature love story." Veteran actress Bhagyashree has played an important role in the film. The film is a romantic drama set in 1970s Europe.
Filming
The film was shot simultaneously in Telugu and Hindi. [10] [22] Principal photography began on 6 October 2018. [23] Filming took place in Hyderabad, Turin (Italy) and Georgia, followed by COVID-19 in March 2020. Filming resumed in Italy in October 2020. In December 2020, several scenes were shot at Falaknuma Palace in Hyderabad. The final schedule of the film started on 25 June 2021 in Hyderabad. [27] [28] [29] Filming was completed on 28 July 2021.
Radhe Shyam Movie Release
Radhe Shyam was released in cinemas on March 11, 2022. Earlier, the film was supposed to be released on July 30, 2021, however, it was postponed due to the COVID-19 epidemic in India. [33] Later in July 2021, it was announced that the film would be released on January 14, 2022 but January Initially, UV Creations announced that the film had been suspended due to the Omicron variant. [34] In February 2022, it was announced that the film would be released on March 11, 2022. The film was released in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam.
